Learn how to install the BlueSnap module for PrestaShop

Follow the steps below to connect BlueSnap with your PrestaShop account.

Before you begin

Make sure you have finished preparing your BlueSnap account for a shopping cart integration before you begin.

  1. Log in to the PrestaShop admin panel, and then go to Modules > Modules & Themes Catalog in the left menu.

  2. In the search bar located in the top right, search for BlueSnap, and then click on the BlueSnap all-in-one global payment module.

  3. In the BlueSnap module page, click Download.

  4. A download pop up window appears. Save the module locally on your machine, in a place you can access later.

  5. Return to the PrestaShop admin panel and go to Modules > Modules in the left menu.

  6. In the top right corner of the page, click Add a new module. Then select the module file you just downloaded and upload it.

  7. After the BlueSnap module is uploaded, scroll down to the list of installed modules. In the Payments and Gateways section, click the Configure button next to the BlueSnap BuyNow module.

  8. In the configuration screen, complete the following settings. Make sure to save your settings when done.

  • Sandbox Mode: Select No to work with your BlueSnap production account, or Yes to work with your BlueSnap sandbox account. If Yes, enter your sandbox API username and password.
  • Is Debug Mode Enabled: Select No for both of these fields.
  • Username: Enter the API username you obtained when setting up your BlueSnap production account.
  • Password: Enter the API password you obtained when setting up your BlueSnap production account.
  • Store ID: Enter the Store ID you obtained when setting up your BlueSnap account (can refer to either sandbox or production, depending on whether 'Sandbox Mode' is on).
  • Data Protection Key: Enter the Data Protection Key you obtained when setting up your BlueSnap account (can refer to either sandbox or production, depending on whether 'Sandbox Mode' is on).
  • Contract ID: Enter the Contract ID you obtained when setting up your BlueSnap account (can refer to either sandbox or production, depending on whether 'Sandbox Mode' is on).
