Connecting your Xero account to AR Automation is easy and allows you to sync your data automatically.
Connecting Xero and AR Automation
- Log in to AR Automation.
- Navigate to Account > Accounting.
- Click Connect.
- You are redirected to the Xero website. If you are not yet logged into Xero, you are prompted to log in.
Note
If you have multiple accounts set up under Xero, be sure to connect to the correct Xero account.
- Once you successfully connect, you are directed back to AR Automation to configure your Accounting System Integration Settings.

Can I connect multiple Xero accounts to one AR Automation account?
You can only connect one Xero account to AR Automation.
When does synchronization occur?
AR Automation automatically launches synchronization with your Xero account every two hours. Additionally, you may initiate a sync at any time by clicking on the Sync Account button in your AR Automation account.
I connected my Xero account but not all the data is showing in AR Automation. What can I do?
Due to Xero's API limits, we only pull the data for the past 6 months during the initial synchronization. If you need to pull all data to your AR Automation account, please contact Merchant Support and we can assist you.
What are Xero's API limits?
Xero has a limit of 5000 API calls per day. Learn more by visiting Xero's documentation.
How do Xero's API limits affect my account?
If your invoicing volume is up to 1000 invoices per month, the account synchronization shouldn't be affected for you. In rare cases, if your account has high transaction volume you may notice that not all data is being synchronized in a day. In case you notice a data discrepancy between AR Automation and Xero, please get in touch with Merchant Support.
