Gmail IMAP connection setup

Step 1: Enable IMAP in Gmail

Follow these steps to enable Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) in your Gmail account.

1. In your Gmail account, click Settings in the top right.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
4. In the IMAP Access section, select Enable IMAP.

Step 2: Generate an App Password

Follow these steps to generate an App Password that will be used to connect Gmail to AR Automation.

1. In your Gmail account, go to Security
2. In the Signing into Google section, click App Passwords.
3. Select Other.
4. In the textbox, enter Armatic.
5. Click Generate
6. Once your password is generated, copy it for the next step.

Step 3: Configure your AR Automation account settings

1. In your AR Automation account, go to Account > Communications.
2. Under Custom IMAP Server, click Connect.
3. Enter the following information:

• Mail Server: http://imap.gmail.com/
• Username: Your full email address
• Password: Your App Password from Step 2
• Port: 993
